This course is aimed at vocational education teachers with basic English skills who are eager to enhance their language proficiency and teaching methodologies. It offers practical strategies for educators looking to integrate English into their vocational subjects and foster an inclusive, engaging classroom environment.
Spasia Neshkoska Tsutsuleska, MAEd
Spasia is an experienced international project coordinator with a background in educational initiatives and international collaborations. Currently, she delivers training sessions, manages course administration, and oversees project management at Euneos. As a trainer, she specializes in internationalization, intercultural competencies, integration of refugees and migrants and vocational and adult education in Finland, and teaching English to VET teachers. She is also a member of the international jury for Eumind projects. Previously, she served as a coordinator of internationalization, an external expert evaluator for Erasmus+ projects, an eTwinning ambassador, and was the principal of a vocational school in North Macedonia. Her Master studies are in Education and Globalization at the University of Oulu, Finland.

Introduction to Vocational Education Systems:
– Overview of vocational education system in Finland/Spain, focusing on key features and differences in vocational education.
Innovative Workshops:
– Workshops on digital tools and resources to enhance language skills in vocational contexts.
– Strategies for leveraging English-language materials and digital resources to support professional development and workplace communication.
Day 3, Tuesday
Vocabulary, Reading and Writing Skills Development:
– Introduction to essential English vocabulary and phrases for vocational teaching.
– Techniques for understanding professional texts and writing basic documents in English.
– Practice sessions for creating reports, emails, and other professional communications in vocational contexts.
Day 4, Wednesday
School Visit and Shadowing:
– Visit to a vocational school in Helsinki or Tenerife, including a tour and opportunities for shadowing.
– See how English is used in vocational education to improve communication, support international collaboration, and contribute to teachers’ professional development..
– Reflection on how the visit aligns with professional development goals and insights gained from shadowing teachers in real vocational settings.

Developing Intercultural Competence and Engaging in International Projects:
– Activities focused on developing intercultural competence to enhance communication and collaboration in international contexts.

– Introduction to AI tools and platforms that assist in project management, fostering efficiency and engagement in international educational projects.
Day 6, Friday
Enhancing Listening and Speaking Skills:
– Exercises to improve listening comprehension and spoken interaction in professional environments.
– Role-playing to simulate real-world workplace scenarios and vocational interactions.
Day 7, Saturday
Presentation of personal outputs.
Reflection on personal learning experiences and course evaluation.
Distribution of certificates and networking.
