Euneos: A Journey of Adapting and Thriving in Education (2005-2024)

2005-2013: Pioneering E-journalism and Project-Based Learning

Founded in 2005, Euneos initially focused on promoting project-based learning (PBeL) through its eJournal platform. This innovative tool facilitated international collaboration between schools and fostered rich, cross-border projects. Euneos actively participated in EU initiatives like Comenius and EFELCREN, establishing itself as a leader in e-journalism (online collaborative learning).

In 2009 eJournals were used by schools in 20 countries of Europe and beyond. According to Alexa the visits to our eJournal website were more numerous than those of Otava, the second biggest publisher in Finland.

2014-2024: Strategic Shift and Continued Growth

Recognizing the evolving educational landscape, Euneos strategically pivoted in 2014. We transitioned from software sales to focus on delivering high-quality Erasmus+ KA1 courses for educators across member countries. This shift proved successful, with our unique benchmarking courses in Helsinki and Tallinn attracting over 1,000 participants. We further expanded our reach with international courses in Benalmadena and Porto.

The unforeseen COVID-19 pandemic presented a challenge. However, Euneos leveraged its e-journalism experience to seamlessly transition on-site training to robust online formats. This proactive approach mirrored the global shift towards remote learning and ensured course continuity.

The post-pandemic period brought new challenges, particularly with the rise of bulk courses within Erasmus+. Upholding our commitment to high-quality education, Euneos strategically merged with VisitEduFinn in 2023. This win-win merger created a stronger entity with a comprehensive suite of educational services.

Today, Euneos offers a full spectrum of services beyond Erasmus+ courses. We facilitate job shadowing programs, educational visits, conferences, and customized learning experiences for educators worldwide. Through continuous adaptation and strategic partnerships, Euneos remains a leading force in delivering innovative and enriching educational experiences.
